LearnMora ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By creating an account or using LearnMora, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

Account Information

Email address: Used for authentication, account recovery, and service communications

Usage Data

Problems and student work: The content you submit for tutoring feedback, including uploaded images and typed text
Tutoring responses: AI-generated feedback on your submissions
Credit usage: Records of credit consumption and purchases

Technical Data

Analytics events: Anonymous page views, feature usage, and interaction data
Error reports: Technical information to help us fix bugs
Log data: IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps collected automatically by our hosting provider

Payment Data

Transaction records: Purchase history, amounts, and timestamps
Payment method: Handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers, CVVs, or full payment credentials

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve the tutoring service
To process payments and manage your credit balance
To send service-related communications (purchase confirmations, account alerts, magic link emails for authentication)
To analyze usage patterns and improve the product
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Note on AI Processing (OpenAI)

Content you submit (problem text, student work, and images) is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. We use the OpenAI API, not consumer ChatGPT. Under OpenAI's API data usage policy, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models by default. We do not opt in to training data sharing. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse and safety monitoring purposes, after which it is deleted. For full details, see OpenAI's API Data Usage Policies.

4. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request
Problem submissions: Retained for 90 days to enable follow-up questions, then automatically deleted
Payment records: Retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance
Analytics data: Retained for 12 months
Error reports: Retained for 90 days

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
Portability: Request your data in a portable format

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via magic links (no passwords stored), and access controls on our database and infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how the service is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

LearnMora is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@learnmora.com, and we will promptly delete such data.

9. International Users

LearnMora is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the service, you consent to such transfer and processing.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website and, where practical, by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
